CAPULC PresidentJamie has been a co-owner of First Alert Locating Ltd., a well-established line locating company, since 2000. She is currently based in the company's main office in Grande Prairie, Alberta. First Alert also operates branch offices in Whitecourt and Gull Lake, Alberta, but services clients throughout British Columbia and Alberta. With extensive experience in locator field operations, ground disturbance consulting, safety management, and executive leadership, Jamie has played a pivotal role in the company's success. She is also one of the founding members of the Canadian Association of Pipeline and Utility Locating Contractors (CAPULC) and has been an active participant since its inception in 2002. Her experience on the Board of Directors allows her to contribute significantly to the Association’s growth. She is committed to its success and believes that active participation can help shape the future of the industry by creating new opportunities and reinforcing CAPULC’s role in underground facility locating. Jamie is passionate about raising awareness of underground facility locating as a valuable career path and developing CAPULC into a strong foundation for industry support. As CAPULC’s President for the past two years, she also serves as a Senate member of the Canadian Common Ground Alliance (CCGA) and holds an “At Large” position on the Utility Safety Partners (USP) Board of Directors. Through her roles at CAPULC and USP, she actively contributes to industry development by participating in the USP Best Practices and Training Standards Committees. Jamie has extensive experience with locator field knowledge, ground disturbance consulting, safety management and CEO responsibilities.
